Ampas Art Gallery presents art exhibition titled Landscapes, Real, Abstract & Imagined. It brings the beauty of the colours of the seasons and the magic of the land meeting the sky. It aims to highlight what soul awakening experiences of gazing at a landscape can bring. Artists showcasing are Kishore Kumar, Nandita Richie, Purnendu Mandal, Rajshekhar Samanna, Reba Mandal, Swapan Bhandary, Umakant Kannade and Vikash Kalra. Artist Vibha Arya Chaurasia, fascinated by contradictory aspects of Varanasi, will launch a series of paintings. To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi, at the behest of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, is premiering a dance production titled Shanthi Sutra. In Bharatanatyam, it captures in its form and content the common threads that connect two of India’s key influencers — Gandhi and Kalakshetra’s founder Rukmini Devi Arundale — celebrating the threads that best represent their commonalities. Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra presents its 62nd consecutive year of the oldest National and International Sampoorna Ramlila, produced and directed by Shobha Deepak Singh. The age-old mythology will be staged with lighting, choreography, music, costumes, ornaments and animation.
