To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi, at the behest of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, is premiering a dance production titled Shanthi Sutra. In Bharatanatyam, it captures in its form and content the common threads that connect two of India’s key influencers — Gandhi and Kalakshetra’s founder Rukmini Devi Arundale — celebrating the threads that best represent their commonalities.
