Kuldeep Singh Dhatwalia, DG, Indian Institute of Mass Communication and Principal DG (Training) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting inaugurated the month-long Training Course in book publishing organised by National Book Trust (NBT). Forty participants from across the country are participating in this course.
Dhatwalia lauded efforts of NBT in training younger people to take up publishing as a career as also promotion of book culture. He hoped to have collaborations with NBT in training in the field of book publications as Ministry of Information and Broadcasting too has various organisations like DAVP and Publications Division engaged in printing and publishing reading materials.
In his address, Professor Govind Prasad Sharma, Chairman, NBT said that pre-printing process need minute attention of the publishing professionals as much as while books are actually being printed.
