The ICSI is celebrating Capital Markets Week on theme Redefining the Indian Capital Market-Vision 2022. The programme at the Commercial Capital of India was hosted by ICSI-WIRC at BSE International Convention Hall, Mumbai with over 350 delegates in attendance.
Chief guest G Mahalingam, Whole Time Member, SEBI, mentioned that company secretaries are conscious keepers and he advised them to perform their duties truthfully. The guest of honor, Ashish kumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of BSE Ltd said that to keep pace with technology, trading should be with trust and transparency.
CS Ranjeet Pandey, President, ICSI shared his thoughts on emergence of new capital markets and role of professionals. He stated various initiatives and recognition taken by ICSI for members and students to accomplish Vision 2022 of ICSI. He also appraised the delegates about recent recognition granted to the company secretaries under Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2019 and re-structuring of students training emphasising more towards skill based training.
