Open house seminar for students at INSD
International School Of Design (INSD) organised a open house seminar for the students at their main campus. The seminar was conducted to teach the skills to the students which will be helpful for them to built their career in this field. Students from different institutes showed their creative work.
The purpose of the event was to announce the newly launched Study Tour To Paris programme where students will go to Paris for various projects and learn the intricacies of global designing and european art n culture experience to create and spread awareness about the careers in design industry for the wave of aspiring students looking forward to step in the design industry.
The seminar aimed to inform the youth about the initiatives of state government for skill development. The open house session also provided information related to block printing, screen printing, tie and dye printing, fabric painting, and embroidery.
Annual Day function at GIIS
Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida, celebrated its annual day — Imagica — for the academic year 2018-19. This occasion also marked its entry into 17th year of excellence in education. The event was graced by Dr Joseph Emmanuel, Director (Academics), CBSE Delhi, Manish Agarwal, Deputy Secretary RO Officer-CBSE Delhi and Regional Officer, Noida and Biswajit Saha, Director (Training & Skill Education), CBSE.
The event was an interesting amalgamation of creativity, craft and brilliant performances.
Students also paid tribute to international dance forms, where more than 1000 students’ participated and over 700 parents witnessed the two-day function, along with the GIIS family.
new executive programmes
The IIIT-Delhi and Tech Mahindra Growth Factories Limited have collaborated to offer executive courses to allow working executives to upskill themselves as they advance in their careers. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr Ashok Kumar Solanki, Registrar IIIT-Delhi and Vivek Chandok, VP Tech Mahindra and CEO Tech Mahindra Growth Factories Ltd.
Certification courses in AI & Machine Learning and The Internet of Things are he first two executive programme offerings of this collaboration based on the present and upcoming market demand.
The collaboration will provide online interactive platform while IIIT-Delhi will be responsible for designing the course content, modules. The award-winning faculty of the institute will be delivering the virtual lectures as a part of the executive programme offering.
OUP awarded
Oxford University Press (OUP), has won the Best K-12 Publisher of the Year award at the 9th Indian Education Awards 2019 for its exemplary work in the School education sector. The award was conferred by the Indian Education Congress on 12th February, 2019, in the presence of Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation. Yash Mehta, Executive Director, School Education received the award on behalf of OUP.
