Fun and experiential learning for kids

Smartivity Labs has introduced 14 new unique learning-based, engagement-driven toys. These products range from the insightful concepts of its three core segments — STEM Learning to Blended Learning and Augmented Reality — which are designed to thrill, delight and impart fundamental learning(s) for children in the age bracket of 3 to 14 years.

These products encourage kids to experience joy and pride of making their own toys and the inspire them to take interest in STEM fields.

By creating cutting-edge engagement activities for young minds, the products enables the perfect amalgamation of the physical and digital world to be enjoyed by children across the country. One can choose learning-based and engagement-driven toys and activities which strengthen a child’s cognitive and social skills. The products are crafted to make learning more fun and experiential.

Sports Management Programme

 Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Group of Institutions, a Mumbai based not for profit trust that manages over organised a FIFA/CIES/Pillai sports summit — Sport and the Development of a Nation — to launch FIFA/CIES executive programme in Sports Management in partnership with CIES (The International Centre for Sports Studies, Switzerland), a body for Sports Management Education.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Pierre Cornu, President, CIES and Dr KM Vasudevan Pillai, Chairman-Pillai Group in the presence of Minister for Education and Sports,  Government of Maharashtra, Vinod Tawde and other professionals from the sports industry.

OP Jindal Global University (JGU), India and the University of Wollongong (UoW), Australia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic partnership through which students and faculty members from each university may spend some time at the other in short or longer term exchange programmes.

The objective is not only to begin a solid partnership between JGU and UoW but also to provide a strong platform for engagement between the two universities that would qualitatively impact the learning and growth of students and faculty alike.

The partnership allows JGU and UoW students to undertake exchange opportunities at the other institution. For faculty and researchers, it allows for joint research and joint teaching, while encouraging collaboration in international publications.

Indo-afro summit-III

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is hosted a Training Course on Energy Efficiency and Conservation for African Nationals under the India Africa Forum Summit-III.

The training course involved 50 participants from 12 African countries which were identified and selected by Indian Missions in respective countries and sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs. The participants were from different Government organisations who are responsible for energy conservation and efficiency programmes in their own country.

Experts from IIT Roorkee, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Energy Efficiency Services Limited, state electricity regulator, national productivity council, Indian renewable energy development agency, UREDA and UPES shared their expertise and experiences.

Workshop on hindi

KIIT College of Education and World Citizen Science Institute organised a workshop  — Hindi an International language — in which Professor Liudhimla Khokholoa of the Indian Philology Department of Moscow University Russia gave a lecture on Hindi language. The aim of the workshop was to make children aware of the growing level of Hindi and to tell them that it is popular like Hindi, English, German, French and Chinese languages.

SS Agarwal, Director, KIIT College said: “Due to its simplicity and ease Hindi language has become an international language today, it is getting involved in the popular language of the world.”
