Developing Entrepreneurship
The KIIT World School, Gurgaon organised a workshop —Developing Entrepreneurship in School. The aim of workshop was to make students understand about the different aspects of entrepreneurship. Paola Fatur (Program Manager, School Enterprise Challenge) was present as the chief guest. She introduced the different aspects of entrepreneurship and emphasized that zeal and great idea are the only ingredients in a recipe for business start-up.
Neelima Kamrah, KIIT Mentor said: “Our future students should be job creators rather than job seekers so it is really important to teach them from starting. To become a successful entrepreneur students must follow the entrepreneurial spirit. These workshops help in developing more entrepreneurs for our society. ”
SRMJEE & SRMJEEH exam
The SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering - SRMJEEE (B.Tech), SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Health Sciences (SRMJEEH) for UG and PG was held on Apirl 15, 2019. The next date for the exam is April 25, 2019. The All India Rank obtained in SRMJEEE (BTech) will be the basis for admission to all the four campuses of SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST).
Candidates securing top 100 rank will be eligible for Founders’ scholarship with full waiver of tuition fee, hostel and mess fee. Scholarships are also available under various categories.

National preschool survey
As part of its persistent efforts towards standardising the country’s largely unstructured preschool space, FlintoClass, an offering of Chennai-based Flinto Learning Solutions, recently released its National Preschool Survey Report 2019. The extensive survey conducted among 30,000 preschool owners in the country emphasized on the existing bottlenecks in the space, highlighted the list of priorities set by parents for admissions and even identified the preschool segment as an upright career option for the women in India.
In terms of aspects of an ideal preschool, the data also stressed on the fact that 40% preschool owners think that the quality of education is a priority for the parents when they finalise the right preschool for their children. The survey data also reported that 99% of pre-schools are owned by women, 60% of the preschool owners indicated running a preschool as a great career option as it empowers them to be independent.
Online skills
Arc Skills, a global skill provider for schools, universities, and corporates, launched Soar, an integrated pathway for school student to learn new age and socio emotional skills.

Plus subscription
The Unacademy announced the launch of the Plus Subscription after a beta of two months. The subscription gives learners preparing for various examinations unlimited access to live classes by the best teachers in the country. Learners get a personalised learning experience that is augmented by doubt-clearing sessions with the educators, interactive classes and a live test series. The educators are compensated for conducting the live classes.
