TIE-UP FOR banking technology talent

The Credit Suisse, Pune, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune (VIT), to develop future banking technology talent in line with its strategy to establish India as a leading center for technology innovation for the bank globally.

The MOU will help the two to jointly develop and deliver an elective, accredited course entitled Financial Technology, comprised of theory and practical application, with the goal of developing tomorrow’s young business and technology leaders so that they are well-prepared to succeed in a career in the banking IT industry.

This is the bank’s third such academic collaboration in India.

Programme for Filmmakers

The Dutch Academy for Film and Photography has  partnered exclusively with BrainGain Academy, a platform that offers curated learning experiences through programmes in collaboration with leading universities, for its  two-week film making programme — Introduction to Filmmaking in Amsterdam.

The programme is inviting participants from around the world, interested in pursuing film making or further enhancing their skills in the field. Undergraduate and graduate students, working professionals, and anyone else over the age of 18 is eligible to apply for the programme. The programme will be launched in November 2019, with the first session kicking off on November 10 – 23, 2019. The deadline for applications is October 10, 2019.

honours for University of Strathclyde

The University of Strathclyde has been named the Sunday Times Good University Guide Scottish University of the Year for 2020. The accolade recognises the university’s strong student satisfaction ratings, subject rankings, campus investment and focus on entrepreneurship skills for students.

Alastair McCall, editor of The Sunday Times Good University Guide, said: “The  university has the best student satisfaction ratings in Glasgow and among the best in Scotland. It is a university on the up, which has seen applications rise by 60% in recent years from students who are among the best-qualified to enter any UK university. It is the best university in the UK for subjects allied to medicine and social policy and only five universities top a larger number of the Good University Guide's specialist subject tables.”

Mou signed

The Chanakya IAS Academy recently signed MoU with the Tribal research and Training Institute (TRTI) in order to provide pre-examination training for the tribal students aspiring for Civil Services.

The MoU was signed between AK Mishra, Founder-D of IAS Chankaya Academy, and Dr Kiran Kulkarni, Commissioner TRTI. While the challenges involved with the basic issues and necessities for the tribal development remains less focussed, TRTI aims to help the tribal youth to groom themselves for Professional courses and Government services. Signing MoU with Chanakya IAS Academy is one of the most vital steps in achieving this feat for TRTI.

“Getting through the Civil Services is a dream of many youngsters in India. And most sincerely the tribal youth hold the Government jobs and civil services in very high regard, and spend many years trying to get through these toughest exams. After the MoU, steps will be taken which will not only boost the chances of cracking the Civil Services for the tribal youth, but also help them get trained to increase their chances of employability,” Mishra said.

Classes and will conduct regular mock tests for the students. Mock tests will help the students in analysing their preparation level. Uplifting the tribal community will certainly contribute significantly to the growth of students and overall progress of the nation.

“The academy has always taken important steps in making innovative developments for the better future of the students in field of Civil Services and other competitive exams,” Mishra added.
