Online Admission Software

City Innovates, a digital & technology company has announced the launch of its Online Admission Software aimed at automating the admission process for educational institutions through digitisation.

It is an integrated software that caters to functions like marketing automation, campaign management, application management, and lead management. The platform brings together the internal and external stakeholders to provide the much needed real-time visibility for greater transparency

The platform captures offline and online leads, converts leads into applications, and manages the leads and applications seamlessly. It then integrates with the social websites, cloud telephony, and existing IT-fabric and ERPs to automate marketing campaigns and track lead sources, lead status, and campaign performance, in order to generate better outcomes and yield quality results.

Life skills for the 21st Century

Lancers International School and The University of Sydney has come up with a collaborative session on Life skills for the 21st Century. The day-long session in had many events such as expert talks, summer programs, and workshops.

The main motive of the event was to equip students for the emerging careers. Furthermore, the collaboration also intends to guide and empower students as they progress towards their career goals. Where-in, Professor Miles delivered a short guest lecture on "Life Skills for the 21st Century" to show the importance of the industrial revolution, job trend that sets the Creativity, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary knowledge.

Visionary Leadership Summit

Students of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) at IIM Bangalore (IIM-B), in association with IIMB’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub, NSRCEL, hosted — Drishti 2019 – a visionary leadership summit and alumni reunion.

In addition to the interesting keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event also included workshops on digital marketing and a hackathon night. The industry leaders showed a glimpse of what the future holds.

Professor G Raghuram, Director, IIM-B, spoke about the new infrastructure being built at the existing and the new IIMB campuses and how they are to be utilised in the best possible manner. He also shared his views on the PGPEM programme. “Everybody is in the programme for the learning value,” he said.

Summer programme

The Knowledge@Wharton High School (KWHS) Global Young Leaders Academy Summer Program explores entrepreneurship, leadership, business and finance skills with select groups of high school students from around the world. Students aged 15-18 years are eligible to apply through BrainGain Magazine.

The programme accepts a limited number of applicants. Interested and eligible candidates should apply online at http://wharton.braingainmag.com.

The two-week program costs US $5,115 per student, including tuition, ground transportation, medical-insurance coverage during the program, lodging and boarding.

Be industry ready

Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC), Guntur, in partnership with Microsoft Technology Associate, will conduct a workshop on Azure Cloud on February 14-15, 2019. The objective of the workshop is to train the participants in the principles and working behind Azure. The workshop will include details about a range of cloud services like computing, analytics, storage and networking. The primary aim of the workshop is to help students to stand out and get hired faster.

Speaking about the importance of  IT workshops, M Chakravarthi, NEC Vice-chair, said: “Students have to be industry ready. Knowing the subject matter is not enough. We have been conducting industry visits to factories. This time we want to teach students what all works and tools are used in the IT industry.”
