New chairman appointed

The new chairman of National Book Trust, India (an autonomous organisation under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development) has been appointed on 21 February 2019. Professor Govind Prasad Sharma, distinguished educationist, took over as the new chairman.

Born in the year 1939, Prof.essor Sharma has served as the Principal of Government P.G. College, Madhya Pradesh. Later, he was appointed as the Additional Director of Higher Education (Gwalior Chambal Division) and has also been the Director of Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Akademi.

 Having worked extensively in the field of education, Sharma has also worked in the capacity of Vice Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education as well as Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Textbook Writing Standing Committee. 

In addition, Sharma has published numerous research papers.
