NLC India Limited celebrated its 63rd Raising Day as Gratitude Day on May 20, 2019 with enthusiasm by recollecting the historical occasion on May 20, 1957, the day NLC’s mining operations were commenced and to show our gratitude and recognise the services of  the former employees, who had toiled very hard for the growth of this organisation. B Surender Mohan, former CMD, NLCIL was the chief guest and kick started the celebrations by hoisting the NLCIL flag in the presence of Rakesh Kumar, CMD, NLCIL, R Vikraman, NNM. Rao, Prabhakar Chowki, Shaji John, Functional Directors and T Venkatasubramanian, CVO at the Lignite Hall, Block-11, Neyveli

At about 2100 h on 19 May 19, intelligence was received about a suspicious vessel likely to be engaged in drug trafficking in area off Indo Pak IMBL off the Gujarat Coast. Similar inputs were also received from Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on May 20. Indian Coast Guard immediately swung into action and ICG Ship Arinjay on patrol off Indo-Pak IMBL was alerted about the suspect vessel. Two additional Interceptor Boats C-437 and C-408 were also tasked from Jakhau and Okha to augment the search for the suspect vessel. ICG Dornier aircraft was also launched from Porbandar on 20 and 21 May 19 for aerial recce in the area

NTPC team came second at the 20th anniversary Iquation quiz International Finals conducted by Event Management group at Mumbai on May 17, 2019.

The NTPC team was represented by Anshuman Srivastava, DGM (Corp. Planning) and KM Prashanth, AGM (Corp.Communications). The team qualified for the finals after coming second in the Delhi Regional round.

More than 50 teams Pan Asia consisting of leading corporates participated in this quiz. The quiz was held at two levels, the regional level at five locations namely Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangkok followed by National finals
