Syndicate Bank Customer Outreach initiative
New Delhi: Syndicate Bank, one of the most trusted and technology savvy public sector banks, on Friday announced that it is hosting unique Customer Outreach Initiative in various States across India between October 3-5. The outreach programmes are being organised as a part of Department of Financial Services, Government of India’s initiative of providing easy accessto credit for customers at public sector banks. Syndicate Bank has been vestedwith the responsibility of hosting these programmes at 15 cities across India in first phase of the initiative. The 2-days programme isbeing organised in Uttar Pradesh from October 3 in Mathura, Moradabad & Greater Noida, from October 4 in Kosikalan and October 5 in Ghaziabad, Amroha & Hapur. Mrutyunjay Mahapatra, MD & CEO, Syndicate Bank said, “For financial inclusion, it is imperative that our customers, existing and prospective, are completely aware of various innovative products at their disposal by various public sector financial institutions.”
Oriental bank of Commerce cuts its Repo
New Delhi: Following RBI announcement of policy repo rate cut of 25bps, Oriental Bank of Commerce has announced transmission of rate cut to its borrowers availing credit facilities linked to Repo Based Lending Rate (RBLR) wef October 5, 2019. Bank is offering retail and MSE loan products linked to RBLR.
SPMCIL PAYS DIVIDEND OF Rs 218.48 CRORE TO GOVT
New Delhi: Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), a Schedule- ‘A’ Miniratna Category-I CPSE, wholly owned by Government of India under the administrative control of DEA, Ministry of Finance has paid a Dividend of Rs 218.48 crores to Government of India for F.Y. 2018-19 in compliance of DIPAM guidelines. The dividend cheque was presented on 04.10.2019 by Tripti P Ghosh, CMD, SPMCIL along with Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance), SPMCIL to Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman in the august presence of Atanu Chakraborty, Secretary, DEA and Meera Swarup, Additional Secretary & amp; Financial Adviser, Ministry of Finance. SPMCIL has achieved the targets in the production of Bank Notes, Coins, Security Paper, Passports, Security Inks and other Security Products during the year 2018-19.

NHPC signs definitive Agreement
New Delhi: NHPC Limited India’s premier hydropower company has signed the Definitive Agreement for implementation of the Approved Resolution Plan submitted by NHPC for takeover and resolution of Lanco Teesta Hydro Power Limited, who was implementing the 500 MW (125 MW x 4) Teesta VI HEP on Teesta river in Sikkim. Janardan Choudhary, Director (Technical), NHPC signed the agreement in the presence of Balraj Joshi, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC and Aniruddha Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power at New Delhi on October 4 on behalf of NHPC with Huzefa Fakhri Sitabhkan, Resolution Professional, Lanco Teesta Hydro Power Limited and Secured Financial Creditors.
