New Director assumes charge at DTL
New Delhi: Mukesh Kumar Sharma has recently assumed the charge of Director (Operations) in Delhi Transco Limited. Sharma has been promoted from the post of General Manager (Technical). An alumnus of Agra University Sharma started his career in 1987 with Central Electricity Authority where he was associated with gas turbine power station consultancy and real time monitoring and operation of Northern Grid etc. He has also worked with Water and Power Consultancy Services. In 1992 he joined erstwhile DESU as Assistant Executive Engineer and since then has worked in various capacities. Having vast experience of over 32 years in the field of electrical engineering, Shri Sharma has handled different departments such as Commercial and Regulatory Affairs, Bulk Supply, Turnkey Projects, Planning, Information Technology, Projects Execution, Operations & Maintenance, Corporate Monitoring, Protection, Metering, Human Resources and Disaster Management etc.
BFSI Excellence Award 2019
New Delhi: The recently concluded ET BFSI Awards 2019, Muthoot Finance’s 45-day mega activation effort at the Prayagraj Kumbh 2019 called “Muthoot Vishwaas Ki Tijori” bagged a special award for Mass Consumer Outreach. Abhinav Iyer, General Manager (Marketing & Strategy) accepted the award on behalf of the brand, by Shweta Shalini, Advisor to Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra at Taj Santa Cruz, Mumbai. The Award covered over 132 applications and 79 finalists. “Muthoot Vishwaas Ki Tijori” was a technology-enabled, free locker service offered to crores of devotees who had assembled at the recently concluded Prayaagraj Kumbh 2019. This was for the first time in the history of Kumbh that locker services were offered to all visitors to keep their personal belongings safe before they proceeded to have their holy dip.
SCOPE and IOE, Geneva to work together
New Delhi: Director General, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), Atul Sobti welcomed Roberto Saurez Santos, the Secretary General of International Organisation of Employers (IOE), Geneva at SCOPE Headquarters. IOE is the representative of global employers in ILO, across the UN, G20 and other emerging forums advocating in the areas of business in social and employment policy. During the meeting, which was attended by senior representatives from Public Sector Enterprises, fruitful discussions were held on various employment and policy issues. SCOPE and IOE have mutually agreed to work in future on areas of common interests.
The Ultima ph-2: DLF clocks over Rs 700 crores
Gurugram: The long-awaited launch of The Ultima phase-2 by DLF became a grand success. More than 1,000 channel partners participated in the launch. DLF took bookings worth more than Rs 700 crores on the first day itself. 376 units were allotted which accounts to more than 75 per cent of the total 504 units.
