A 44-year-old widow was allegedly beaten to death by the landlord in South Delhi’s Mehrauli after he suspected her of being a thief. Four people, including the landlord, have been arrested.

The deceased woman has been identified as Manju Goyal and she is survived by her two children who were in Haryana at the time of the incident.

Goyal’s brother Mahesh Jindal informed police on Saturday about the incident. “When a police team reached the spot, he said his sister was staying at the house of one Satish Pahwa as tenant. And he narrated the incident,” said a senior police official.
