Cheers to healthy skin

Come monsoon and all the skin woes begin. Dr Subashini shares tips on how to keep it healthy and glowing

While we get relief from the scorching heat during monsoon, our skin becomes more sensitive due to the fluctuation in humidity levels. The drastic change in humidity levels can make the skin type fluctuate between dry and oily. Skin becomes prone to sweat and excessive oil secretion when the weather is very humid.

The oil in the pores become a perfect magnet attracting dust, dirt, and bacteria present in the air. What happens then? An outbreak of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples is what follows. To cope with skin concerns during monsoon, we should ensure that we keep our face clean. We all desire healthy, glowing, and clear skin, but often due to hectic schedules, we do not give our skin the care it deserves. This in turn leads us to seek the easy way out of using makeup to hide our imperfections. While makeup does the job of hiding scars and marks, it is not a solution to have healthy skin.

Try the tips below to help fight the effects of monsoon and reveal your best glowing skin:

  • Cleansing: Cleansing is the first step towards clean and healthy skin. One should wash their face at least twice a day. Cleansing your face before sleeping helps wash away the dirt, pollutants, and other impurities accumulated on the face during the day, and thus prevent the formation of pimples. Regular use of a face wash with the benefits of neem can help reveal your best skin. Neem is well known to help fight pimples, scars, pigmentation, and ensures that the skin remains healthy.
  • Unclog pores: The best way to remove persistent blackheads and whiteheads is to scrub the face at regular intervals. Scrubbing helps remove impurities and dead skin cells. Use scrubs infused with the benefits of herbal ingredients such as neem and apricot granules. Apricot granules act as natural exfoliators and help in enhancing your natural skin tone by exfoliating dead cells. It gives us softer and healthier skin.
  • Relax with packs: A face pack helps soothe the skin. Face packs help prevent pimples and removes impurities. It also helps rejuvenate the skin by removing impurities from the pores. Use a face pack with the benefits of Neem and Turmeric. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and helps in improving the complexion of the skin. It is a natural antiseptic that helps in soothing dry skin and preventing pimples.

Discover healthier skin by following this complete skin care routine. Along with the daily cleansing routine, it is also important to include a weekend skin care regimen that comprises of scrubbing and using a face pack to get that extra glow which will help us reveal our best skin. In addition to this, also ensure to keep the skin hydrated by drinking water at regular intervals.
