Come summertime and all the skin woes begin. One of the side effects of the heat can be heat pimples. ROSHANI DEVI shares home remedies to treat them

Summer is your skin’s worst enemy. Among all the problems that occur because of the scorching sun including heatstrokes, dehydration and tan, heat pimples are the worst. They spread fast and can make you look unpleasing.

But worry not. Following these simple tips can help you get rid of these uninvited guests.

Take four to five ice cubes. Place it in a cloth and press it against the pimples until you feel numb. Continue this manner a couple of times. Once done, pat dry with a clean towel.

Take one tablespoon of extra virgin oil and one tablespoon of turmeric powder. Mix the two. Apply it over the affected area. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry with clean towel.

Aloe vera gel works wonders. Take two tablespoons of aloe vera gel/extract. Apply it on the affected areas and leave it overnight. Rinse off the next morning. Repeat the process every night before going to bed until it’s completely gone.

Cucumber can also help in fighting these pimples. Take half cucumber. Blend it in a food processor and apply the paste to the pimples. Leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse off with cold water. Repeat this step three to four times a week until you get complete relief.
