Nobody likes to have chapped and dry lips. Those who have a dry skin usually face problems in summers as well. More so if you are out in the sun most of the times. But there are a few simple tricks that one can follow to keep them soft and moist so that you can smile all the time.
The most important thing to keep in mind is to not lick your lips. While licking may take away the dryness, your saliva will only irritate the skin more.
Another key point to keep in mind is to breathe through the nose. Most of us don’t realise that sometimes we tend to breathe through our mouth leading to dryness.
Use coconut oil which is rich in Vitamin E. It can hydrate your lips and repair damaged cells.
Sometimes not drinking enoughwater can led to dryness. Keep yourself well hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Rose petals and raw milk can nourish your lips and help you treat your cracked lips naturally. Soak 5-6 rose petals in the milk for about two or three hours. Mash it to get a smooth consistency, like that of a paste, and apply it on your lips.
Leave it for 20 minutes and wash with cold water. Do this every day for a week.
