Would you want to shake hands with a person who has dirty and unkempty nails? The answer is no.ROSHANI DEVI shares easy to follow home remedies to keep them shaped, clean, healthy and shiny

Not all of us can go for regular manicures to keep our nails healthy, in shape and shiny. But this doesn’t mean that one can’t have beautiful and healthy nails.  There are several home remedies that one can follow.

First, regularly use olive oil. The oil, helps keep nails shiny by nourishing the cuticles. It also  has moisturising properties. Clean your nails. Warm some olive oil and deep your fingers for 15 minutes. Wipe the nails. Do this daily.

Second, one can use cocconut oil as well to improve the strength and appearance of the nails. Massage the nails with organic cold-pressed coconut oil.

Third, soak your nails in fresh orange juice for 10 minutesto improve their strength and appearance. Rinse your hands to remove the citric acid from your skin and nails. Apply a natural moisturiser like olive, or coconut oil.

Fourth, if your nails are brittle or discoloured, soak them in apple cider vinegar once a day to get rid of the yellow colour.

Fifth,, rose water is not only great for skin, it works wonders to keep the nails healthy as well. Use rose water to clean your nails daily.
