The spirit of independence will be celebrated by a group of artists belonging to the army family at the prestigious gallery of All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, New Delhi, this monsoon. A plethora of vibrant paintings expressing a gamut of feelings will be exhibited. For Komal Singh art is like a meditation as it gives her inner peace, happiness and ecstasy. She uses oil as a medium to execute her artworks. She has the firm belief that through her artwork she can bring considerable changes to this world. Jaya Pant finds art as a means to unite oneself with the universe to achieve a sense of calmness.

Jyothilekshmi Menon is passionate about art and constantly experiments with various forms of creative arts. Her themes revolve around traditional Indian subjects which have a rustic appeal.  For Nadiya Shanavas, art is an expression of happiness. Her paintings are on the scenery of Kerala. She has beautifully depicted it in her artwork.

The pain of the loss of ones homeland, the displacement, the trauma and the grief that was shared equally on both sides. In the hope that in remembering the past we may be able to build a brighter future.
