Fitness is the key

Karan Vohra, who is seen playing the strong-headed Dr Veer in StarPlus’ Krishna Chali London, has been impressing the viewers with his performance on screen. The actor is of the opinion that in order to maintain a strong screen presence, one needs to be fitness driven.

Commenting on it, Karan revealed: “Fitness is a lifestyle for me. I am very disciplined when it comes to my fitness regime and follow it with sincerity. No matter how long or hectic my shoot schedule is, I make it a point to go to the gym everyday. Dr Veer has a very strong personality and wears formals and so it requires me to be in my best shape and my fitness routine helps in achieve it and get into the character. The better you look on camera, more and more audiences will appreciate you. The best compliment is when what you are wearing looks good on you. I believe that my performance and screen presence comes out well through my athletic experience and it has made me the actor I am today.”

The Voice is back

One incredible superguru along with four phenomenal coaches are coming together on the electrifying show The Voice on Star Plus starting from February 3, 2019, every weekend at 8 pm. The Voice in a hunt to accredit the country’s ultimate voice. The four-time Emmy Award-winning show has taken the world by storm with international critical acclaim and blockbuster success in 180 territories around the world is now coming to India with an interesting promise ‘Taqdeer Bhi Palategi’.

Staying true to its concept, the show will provide a platform to the country’s singing talent, solely based on their voice, transcending all barriers of physical appearance, background, religion, gender.

The format has been altered to introduce the concept of a super guru and none other than India’s beloved music maestro AR Rahman will be seen stepping into that role. The iconic red chairs will be graced by the country’s most celebrated and eminent musicians Adnan Sami, Harshdeep Kaur, Kanika Kapoor and Armaan Malik as coaches, who will provide contestants with unparalleled coaching experience.

The music icon, AR Rahman, who will be seen as a super guru, revealed: “I have a very special role as a super guru on the show. The entire idea of not looking at the person and just listening to the voice is fascinating because that resonates with my personal ethos. The idea of finding the next singing sensation based on the soul of their voice and how it touches your heart really appealed to me. I am looking forward to sharing some of my knowledge of music that I have amassed over the years to the coaches and to nurture the participants through the journey of this show”.

yatra contest

The Sony Entertainment Television’s show Vighnaharta Ganesh has been receiving an overwhelming response from its viewers and to further strengthen their belief, the channel has decided to launch a contest for its viewers titled Ashtavinayak Darshan Yatra.

As the name suggests, Ashtavinayak means ‘eight Ganeshas’ while yatra means ‘pilgrimage’. Ashtavinayak Yatra is a pilgrim trip that covers the eight ancient holy temples of Ganesha situated around Pune. The contest will allow the viewers of the show and Ganesh-bhakts to avail an opportunity to visit all the Eight Ganesha temples.

 The contest will go on-air till February 15, wherein questions will be asked during the episode every day of the week, that is, from Monday to Friday. Two options against each question will be displayed for the audiences. The contest will be on for a period of about four weeks.

The contest questions will be flashed two times during the show between 7:30 pm to 8 pm. Participants can give a missed call on the toll-free numbers shown on the screen and submit the correct answers before the end of the episode. Winners will be shortlisted at the end of every week and a total of 30 winners will be eligible to win the ‘Darshan Yatra’ at the end of four weeks.

Eminent actor and prolific storyteller, Shekhar Suman, will take audiences on a trip down memory lane, sharing some behind the scene, unheard stories that haven’t yet seen the light of the day!

He will narrate stories of Bollywood actors, singers, producer and directors and give a sneak peek into the bygone era of Hindi cinema.

Each three-minute episode will be aired before the movies roll.
