To support poor, helpless and neglected people living in the Bhubaneswar Parliamentary Constituency (PC) area, an innovative programme named ‘BHARASA’ was launched here recently.
MP Aparajita Sarangi and noted persons from the seven concerned Assembly constituencies inaugurated the programme.
Poor people would be provided with different kinds of support during natural and other disasters. Besides, assistances would be provided for development of farmers and farming sectors.
Educational and other supports would be given to students. Women, youth and other organisations would be provided up to Rs 25,000 financial assistance for undertaking social welfare and self-reliant programmes.
Though the programme would be implemented in the seven Assembly segments under the Bhubaneswar Parliamentary constituency first, it would be extended to other areas in coming years, said Sarangi.
People have been requested to contact in phone no. 0674-2553988 and mobile no.7606055082 to know more about theprogramme.
While Sarangi has donated her five months’ salary to build the initial corpus, many well wishers and philanthropists have helped shape the idea. Donors will be encouraged to actively participate in the process. The organisation has appealed people to strengthen the initiative through resource contribution.
The trust has been registered under the Indian Trusts Act 1882 with other income tax provisions.
