Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo led the ‘Gandhi Vichar Yatra’, the week-long foot march being organised to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on its fourth day.
The foot-march was led by him from Bhakhara of Kurud block in the district which converged into a public meeting at village Supela.
Addressing the public meeting Singhdeo reminded how Mahatma Gandhi by his exemplary works established the glory of the country at global platform.
Terming life of Mahatma inspirational, he said the foot-marches of him had played instrumental role in integration of country post independence.
Singhdeo on this occasion said the farm loan waiver done by the Bhupesh Baghel government was also inspired by the ideology of Gandhiji as it has strengthened the rural economy.
PCC Chief Mohan Markam also addressed the gathering. He in his address appealed the villagers to make successful the ambitious Narva Garva Ghurva Badi scheme and become self-dependent.
MLAs Shailesh Pandey, Ambika Singhdeo, Shakuntala Sahu, Vinod Chandrakar, Kismatlal Nand and other public representatives of the state and local level leaders took part in the foot-march.
