‘Ghost’ fear: Sanskrit students leave hostel

Monday, 23 September 2019 | PNS | BALESWAR

Fearing paranormal activity, four students of the Banchhakalpa Sanskrit Vidyalaya in Khaira of Baleswar district left the school hostel on Sunday. Reportedly, other students of the school had left the hostel on Saturday over fear of ‘ghost’.

The four students reached the Udala Mayurbhanj district by bus. Suspecting something wrong initially, locals quizzed the students who told them about the ‘ghost’ fear at their school hostel. The locals then handed over the students to police.

Sources said that as a villager was cremated near the Sanskrit school a few days back, it is suspected that the students might have developed the ‘ghost’ fear.

Meanwhile, the headmistress of the school said she was not aware of any ghost fear. The students who left the hostel had given leave applications to the hostel warden, she added.
