The Oakridge International School, Vizag campus, students commenced an awareness programme ‘Give way to Ambulance’ asking the public to make a way for the passage of ambulances and not obstruct them in traffic to save patients live.
Besides raising awareness among family members, friends and the neighbours, the students are also approaching influential people from various walks of life and making them to take the pledge on further generating public awareness of the subject.
As the part of the initiative, TV Nalineekanth (Oakridge Employee) met Commissioner of Police Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack Satyajit Mohanty and explained the importance of giving way to the ambulance as every four minutes of delay drastically reduces the survival chances of serious victims from 70 per cent to 7 per cent as every second counts.
Nalin Srivastava of Oakridge International School was present on the occasion.
