‘Govt is working towards women’s empowerment'

Till now, the girls had to face more challenges in the state for building their careers in comparison to boys. The State Government is working to empower women and create such a social environment so that women can be skilled more effortlessly and ensure a good future for all. The day is not far away when economically and socially empowered women will choose suitable grooms for themselves.

This was said by the Minister of Higher Education, Sports and Youth Welfare Jeetu Patwari at the Yuva Chhatra Samvad held at the Government Indira Gandhi Girls College, Shahdol.

The Minister Patwari further mentioned that constant efforts are being made by the government to enhance the skills of youth as per the requirement to make them suitable for employment. The economically weaker families will be given priority in the government services. For this, schemes are being prepared by the government, he added.

Patwari interacted with the students on their aspirations and problems. Patwari was told by student Anjali Dwivedi asked for special efforts for employment, Priya Patel for availability of employment opportunities, Rishu for conducting regular classes, shortage of teachers and earlier completion of the badminton court. On the demand of completion of the incomplete badminton court, Patwari directed to make available the budget.

Patwari further mentioned that the 30 percent out of the 50 percent shortage of teachers will be met by this month end.

He stated that the shortage of teachers in the colleges of Shahdol district will be met with priority.

On being congratulated by the student Vidya Shukla for the Fame India Award, Patwari said that it is important to give 100 percent in public service. This award is the confidence of the people of Madhya Pradesh towards his selection. He said that sports is important for all round development. He exhorted that every student must participate in at least one game.

 Holds discussion with Principals

The Higher Education Minister discussed about the administrative problems with the principals of the government colleges. He said that a positive decision will be taken on all issues in the interest of teachers.

The Minister for Tribal Welfare and District In-Charge Shahdol Omkar Singh Markam said that the government is making continuous efforts for the progress of poor and for the development as well as protection of tribal’s interests.
