The National Students Union of India (NSUI) is going to organize Halla-Bol Half Marathon against malnutrition on August 23, the birthday of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel.
A poster for the programme was released on Tuesday jointly by AICC’s in charge for Chhattisgarh P.L. Punia and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at party’s state headquarters Rajiv Bhawan.
Official sources in the Congress informed that Baghel government in the state had launched a movement against malnutrition at war footing after a Niti Ayog figure showed malnutrition assumed an alarming proportion in the state. As per the Ayog 37.6% children in the state are malnourished while 41.5% of women in the state are anemic, they informed.
To highlight the movement launched by the CM, NSUI has organised the Halla-Bol programme. Half Marathon would commence from Gandhi Udyan at 8 a.m. on August 23, sources informed.
