‘Maoist posters’ at Nilgiri College

In an unexpected instance, multiple posters suspected to be put up by Maoists surfaced in the premises of the Nilgiri College in Baleswar district on Tuesday.

The posters demanded that the Students’ Union elections in the college be cancelled. Besides, the posters warned the teachers of the college to stay away from politics.

The posters were put up near the office of the Principal of the college. On being informed, the Nilgiri police reached the spot, seized the posters and started investigation to ascertain who actually pated the posters. The incident has left students and teachers of the college panic-stricken.
