‘MP police to help petro unit to maintain safety’

Natural gas and other petroleum products are of utmost importance for national security and due to which petroleum companies should follow every important safety standard.

Madhya Pradesh Police is always ready to give all possible help said DGP VK Singh in the second meeting of the Onshore Safety Coordination Committee held for the safety of various petroleum and gas companies at State Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

He laid special emphasis on implementing strong Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for safety in every petroleum unit.

Director General of Police Singh assured that Madhya Pradesh Police will fulfill the expectations of the petroleum companies from the police in terms of security.

Officials of the petroleum companies that they should never sit relaxed about safety and check every level of internal security of the company to remain it perfectly safe.

He said that better coordination would be established and all concerned Superintendents of Police have been alerted in this regard.

If any intelligence related to security is found, then it should be shared with the police.

The disaster management plan should be such that the risk probability should be least and assured that the problems of encroachment around petroleum units will be resolved by coordinating with the district administration and government.

Additional Director General of Police Kailash Makwana said that petroleum companies should also exercise special vigilance when the Madhya Pradesh Police issues an alert.

In every company units, CCTV cameras of good quality should be installed at every location which is important in terms of security.
