Minister for School Education Prabhuram Chowdhary said that day by day increase in the institutional deliveries is an identification of public awareness.
Chowdhary was addressing the workshop ‘Continuous Medical Education’ for Gynaecologists here on Tuesday. The State Government by conducting a special campaign under the National Health Mission has introduced masses with the benefits of institutional deliveries and measures to reduce mother and infant mortality rate.
Besides, Chowdhary presented awards to Gynaecologists, staff of government and private sector and volunteers for their outstanding services.
Minister Chowdhary said that challenges and aspirations of common man is more in medical field. He informed that the state government is working with commitment to provide better health services upto rural areas. Congratulating doctors, volunteers and staff for the awards, Chowdhary mentioned that this trend of award will be an inspiration for other people of medical field.
The Managing Director of National Health Mission Chhavi Bhardwaj informed about the activities and programmes of the mission. She told doctors to use all necessary facilities for the institutional deliveries and to adopt process so that desired decrease could be brought in mother and infant mortality rate. She further informed that cooperation of other states and private sector is also being taken in the programmes of mission.
