Minister for Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, Science and Technology, Aviation, Religious Trusts and Endowment PC Sharma while inaugurating the State level Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign said that it is must to eradicate measles disease from its roots.
He informed that a target to vaccinate over 2 crore children of the state has been set under the campaign.
There is a need for public awareness to achieve the target.
On the occasion, Sharma cut the ribbon of vaccination carrier box and flagged off the Jan Jagrukta Rath.
PC Sharma told people that they must get all the children aged between 9 months and 15 years besides pregnant women residing in their colonies vaccinated.
He stated that the campaign is being conducted till February 15 in the entire state to protect children and pregnant women from Measles-Rubella.
He informed that improper treatment of two and half day measles causes serious deformities in children which made them suffer till life time.
He hoped from all that they will get children and pregnant women vaccinated during this campaign under any circumstances.
