Bhopalites will enjoy the calm classical compositions 'Season with Krishna' by Vidhi Sharma. Vidhi Sharma will perform at Uttaradhikar series of classical performances.
She will perform at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum on Sunday. She will be performing vocal recital to make this Janmashtami even more memorable as a part of live concert tour. The concert tour started from Delhi, Gurgaon, and will end at Bhopal.
It is a concept based on singing Krishna folk tales surrounding the six seasons- monsoon, summer, Pre winter, winter, autumn and spring! Classic poetry by 15th century Bhakti movement saint poets like Meera and ashtachhap kavi like Surdas, nanddas, parmananddas and more composed by Vidhi Sharma in different ragas set to various time cycles for a complete impact. About it Vidhi says, "It surely takes off to Lord Krishna’s life and times."
Vidhi Sharma, a playback singer, and a semi-classical vocalist has been performing around the world for more than a decade now. She is a professionally trained singer in Hindustani Classical and Light classical music. Vidhi has won the GIMA Award- Global Indian Music award for the album Cinema.
She has also been awarded the title of “Bhakti ki Awaaz” on Zee Tv. An extremely versatile artist, Vidhi is adept at performing genres from Indian classical, Sufi, ghazals to folk music and has done playback singing for films like Paan Singh Tomar; Listen Amaya; Rabba Mein Kya Karoon and short films on YouTube like Bunkar, The Strange Smile. An A grade artist from the All India Radio, Vidhi has performed at various national and international festivals like Jaipur Literature Festival; Baalbeck International Festival, Lebanon; IIFA Mula Festival, Madrid; Central Govt initiatives like Atulya Bharat; Swatchta Hi Seva.
Vidhi is currently an active member of the Censor Board of Film Certification, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Having traveled extensively the world over for concerts, Vidhi has several albums of ghazals, bhajans, and Geet to her credit.
