Synergy Sansthan organised the ‘Youth for Children’ meet at Raj residency hotel. In this event, Change-Loomers showcased their journey and the issues they have worked on in the previous year like freedom to sports, child rights, gender equality and education. The Chief, UNICEF mp event were Michael Juma, Anil Gulati, Communication specialist, UNICEF MP.
The event witnessed the presence of 110 people comprising of youth, children and their parents. The Change-Loomers program is collaboration between Synergy Sansthan and UNICEF. Juma from UNICEF Youth and adolescent participation ad engagement on issues impacting children is critical for strengthening and reinforcing gender responsive and child friendly programmes. He appreciated work of young changeloomers on the issues of health, immunsiation, nutrition, gender discrimination and called on them to step up efforts to say no to child marriage.
Anil Gulati, Communication specialist, UNICEF MP said that youth Change-Loomers made a great effort in understanding issues impacting children and have taken steps to call people to action. Youth can help in making positive change for children and is happening here in MP.
During the event, Changeloomers shared their journey and efforts they have done to mobilise communities on measles rubella immunization, saying no to discrimination due to gender, using music to create awareness on immunization, advocating for change on under nutrition, and enhancing voices of children and reach out to people who make decisions for them. In the event, all the Change-Loomers shared their experiences of the change that their project has brought at the ground level with others. Vishnu Jaiswal of Synergy Sansthan said that the Change-Loomers program values the thoughts of the youth and helps them build leadership skills and become an active citizen. The programme was anchored by Vishnu and Harshita.
