Following the construction of double line which is ongoing in Laksar-Haridwar section to interlock and non-interlock the lines, total 12 trains from Dehradun have been cancelled for 10 days. In addition to that from October 13 to 22 four trains will be short terminated. Twelve trains to Haridwar have also been cancelled during the same time period.
Dehradun railway station superintendent Sitaram Sonkar said that the block for the ongoing construction work of double line has been approved, during which for seven days the work before non-interlocking will be done and for the other three days non-interlocking will be done.
The railways will be giving full refund to those passengers who had done advance booking in the cancelled trains. The cancelled trains from Dehradun are 14114 Link Express, 12091 Naini Doon Jan Shatabdi, 14631 Dehradun Amritsar Express, 19020 Dehradun-Mumbai Bandra Terminus Express, 14266 Varanasi Janta Express, 14310 Ujjaini Express, 14318 Dehradun-Indore Express, 22660 Dehradun Kochuveli, 19566 Uttaranchal Express, 12328 Upasna Express, 12018 Dehradun Shatabdi and 54342 Dehradun-Saharanpur Passenger.
15005/06 Gorakhpur-Dehradun Express up to Nazimabad, 15001/02 Muzaffarapur-Dehradun Express up to Nazimabad, 13009/10 Doon Express up to Bareilly and 12687/88 Madurai-Dehradun Express will operate up to Nizamuddin during the same period as they are being short terminated.
The trains which will continue to run during the time are 12055/56 Dehradun-Jan Shatabdi, 14041/42 Mussoorie Express, 14119/20 Kathgodam-Dehradun Express and 12401/02 Magadh Express.
