15-day painting course held

Under the aegis of Corporate Social Responsibility, a 15-day Drawing and Painting course organised at Vocational Training Centre run by BHEL Ladies Club concluded on Sunday.

Around 25 participants comprising of women and children enrolled in the course were given course completion certificate in a programme held at the centre.  On this occasion Pratibha Thakur President BHEL Ladies Club was present as the chief Guest. Vice-President Navita Nigam, Diksha Nigam and Secretary Sumita Sarna; Treasurer Veena Barnamala were also present in the programme.

Thakur congratulating the participants said that the objective of the club is to empower the weaker and marginalised section of the society with special emphasis on women as well as children.

Meanwhile, BHEL, Bhopal has been declared as the Best Establishment by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India in the 100th All India Skill Competition of Apprentices held from November 14, 2018 to November 17, 2018 for ITI Apprentices.

This achievement highlights the superiority of the training provided to the trainees in BHEL Bhopal, resulting in excellent performance of the trainess in the competitive exams held outside the unit. Lovely Sahu secured the highest position in the Welder Trade whereas Master Sandeep Sen secured the top position in the Machinist Trade.

In a programme held at Third Floor Administrative Building DK Thakur Executive Director BHEL Bhopal congratulated the winner apprentices. He also appreciated the efforts of General Manager (HR) M Isadore as well as the entire HRDC team.
