A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death allegedly by unidentified assailants in Rohini’s Meer Vihar area on the Thursday night. Police suspect personal enmity behind the killing.
The victim has been identified as Shamsher Alam, a vegetable vendor and a resident of Delhi’s Meer Vihar area. According to SD Mishra, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Rohini district, Alam along with his father Mohammad Salim were returning home after selling vegetables, when
some unidentified men took them to a secluded spot in Meer Vihar.
“Two men caught hold of Salim while another person stabbed his son in front of him before fleeing the spot. The father of the victim was not assaulted,” said the DCP.
“The victim, who sustained a single stab wound, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed on Friday afternoon,” said the DCP.
“A case of murder has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused,” said the DCP adding that further investigation is going on.
