2 arrested, country-made pistol, live cartridge seized

Bhopal: Nishatpura police have nabbed a two miscreants from Karond and recovered a country-made pistol, a live cartridge and a motorbike from their possession late in the night on Monday.

According to the police acting on a tip off regarding an absconding accused Irfan Khan alias Chapati (20) and his aide Azeem Pathan (22)   were nabbed near liquor shop at Karond.

After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act while the absconding accused were wanted in three cases of attacking with sharp edged weapons in a single day.

Police have claimed that the miscreant was nabbed with the country made pistol and cartridge which suggests that he was on his way to commit crime but the accused confessed that he was trying to sell the country made pistol and cartridges. Based on the confession police have started investigation regarding the buyer and seller involved in the network.

Irfan is a habitual criminal and have been booked for different crimes by different police stations of the city. He has been booked for nine case by Nishatpura, Hanumanganj and Koh-e-Fiza police and was absconding for the past three months in attempt to murder, extortion and physical assault cases.

Police have also recovered a bike bearing registration number MP04KM3847 and it was fond that the bike was stolen from Nishatpura area few months ago.
