2-day ‘Gau Karuna’ exhibition starts in Capital

A Two-day ‘Gau Karuna’ exhibition, propagating the message of love and affection towards cows, began on Monday at Digambar Jain Bhawan of Harmu Road area in the State Capital. The collections of Tejkaran Jain, whose name has been mentioned in several books, including the Limca Book of Records for his love for collecting valuables related to cows, was showcased at the  exhibition on Monday. Jain, a resident of Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh, has a collection of coins, currency, stamps and other postal collection issued by 75 different countries on non-violence and ‘Gau Sewa’ (Cow Care).

Jain’s work has also been recognized by the Golden Book of Records, Everest Book of Records, and at least a dozen such books. He is also the winner of Chhattisgarh State Gaurav Award for his work. Ranchi chapter of Adhyatm Foundation organized the exhibition in Ranchi. Jain runs a medical store in a small village Vananchal in the Maoist-affected tribal southern region of Rajnandgaon District in Chhattisgarh. He has launched a unique Gau Karuna drive to awaken compassion for cows. He believes that in the absence of Gau-Karuna humanity is ineffective.

Jain was interested in collecting various types of coins from his childhood. He concentrated his compilation on the subject of cow family about 34 years ago, which included stamps, rare postage, ancient and international coins, letter currency notes. The specialty of his collection is that the entire story from the birth of the cow to the death has been mentioned in it. It has so far been organized under the Go Karuna drive in six states across India. Exhibition in the State Capital is 32 nd in the row.

 In this unique collection, the Hindu nation’s currency notes and currencies of Muslim nations including currencies of other nations like Uganda, Mozambique, Nigeria, Burma, Georgia, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Ireland, Sudan, Somalia, Mauritius, Mortina, Mozambique, Rwanda, New Jersey, Costa Rica, Australia, R There are also notes of countries like Mania, Cambodia, Gambia, France, Italy, Selcher, Bangladesh, Honduras, Netherlands, Belarus, South Africa, Bostwana, Swaziland, Brazil, Vanuatu, Burundi, Laos, Zimbabwe, Vietnam and Mongolia in which adorable cows are inscribed. Along with gold, silver, putty, copper, brass, nickel, steel, aluminum are the metal currency of many countries.

Among  most ancient coins are ones from Naga, Padmavati, Panchmarka, Maurykalin, Samantaveda, Kabulshahi, Kunari Reyan, Cholabul, Ahilyabai Holkar, Sayajirao Gaekwad, Jinji Maratha, Harikel Janpad, Kushasan Dynasty, Vijayanagaram, Madanpal, Delhi Sultan, Tirumala, Indo Greek, Satavahana, Congochera, Prithviraj Chauhan and others are spectacular. Jain also has a collection of autographs of distinguished people like Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, legendry cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Rajesh Chauhan, Dance Guru Birju Maharaj and Hockey player Mrinal Choubey.
