Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar concluded its two-day 15th Annual Cultural Fiesta with presentation from its Secondary Wing.
The two day annual function festival comprised of Junior and Secondary wing in which Sagarites exhibited their talent and virtues as an epitome of humanism. Blooming Juniors Sagarites presented their Annual Cultural Fiesta on theme of ‘The Virtuous Flight.’
The Secondary Wing cultural fiesta was based on the theme ‘The Virtuous Life’ of Swami Vivekananda with Arun Prabhu, Author & Life Skills Mentor as its esteemed Chief Guest.
A vivacious and colorful programme in feisty attire marked ‘The Virtuous Life’ of Swami Vivekanada by over 600 Sagarites at the center stage. In keeping with the theme, the evening illumined on the life of a Swami Vivekananda who rooted for spiritual integration of the world through universal
brotherhood and karmayog. His concern transcended beyond his own self and embraced humanity right from his arrival expressed in ‘Dhunuchi’ Bengali dance by Sagarites.
Natkhat Athkheliyan showcased childhood thoughts and actions whereas skit ‘Truthful Naren’ presented his honesty and simplicity. In Inspiring Ethos Sagarites presented his inspiration and gratitude towards His Mother and ‘Atmanubhuti’ depicted his quest in search of God and knowledge highlighting the first meeting with Ramakrishna which proved to be a turning point of his life. In a Musical Orchestra with blend of Western and Indian Classical, Sagarites presented his visit to West in ‘Parliament of Religions’ and his
representation as ‘Sannyasi’ at Chicago.
A memento was presented to Chief Guest Arun Prabhu by Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Chairman, Sagar Group and Principal Alpa Prabhu. Arun Prabhu expressed his views on the occasion.
Principal Alpa Prabhu presented the annual report and catalogued the achievements of the school with parents and guests.
A felicitation ceremony also marked the day with award of scholarships to meritorious students for their achievement and outstanding performances in academics followed by recognition to teachers for their efforts in serving school for more than ten years was applauded by the
audience.
