With a motive to train youngsters to make them self-reliant in gym business a two-day workshop was organised in the audio-visual hall TT Nagar stadium.
In the workshop as many as 48 youngsters from different districts participated. Here on Friday, it was the second day of workshop.
Director Sports and Youth Welfare S.L. Thoussen, while directing the trainee youngsters, said that keeping in view the good prospects in the field of fitness centers, the youth are being provided loans at the small interest rate under the Chief Minister's Youth Enterprise scheme. The purpose of this will be to provide better employment opportunities to the youth through fitness centers, while adding other youths to fitness centers (gym) will help them to become self-reliant.
Thoussen gave necessary tips to the youngsters regarding 'fitness centers' and provided guidance to them. He assured the youth that all support will be provided to the fitness centers by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
On the first day of this two-day workshop, DSYW Consultant Nikhil Vaswani provided training to the youth in detail in regard to gym management. He gave information about marketing, gym design, financial management and services. Besides, in the context of physical structure and workout, and Dietician Nidhi Pandey, Genius Thomas Mathew provided detailed training about the Diet Plan. Apart from this, Sagar Pednekar of Gold Gym Mumbai gave guidance on gym Industry and its innovative technology and advanced equipment. The workshop also resolved the doubts of trainees as they came up with various queries.
