A court van hit a motorcycle near Arjunpur Chhak on the Sonepur-Balangir stretch of NH-57, killing two persons who weretravelling by the two-wheeler on Thursday morning.
Reports said that the court van was carrying 16 under-trial prisoners to the Rampur court. The motorbike driver and pillion rider died on the spot. The identities of the deceased were yet to be established till last reports came in. Efforts were on to ascertain their identities.
Police recovered the bodies and started an investigation into the incident.
