Ratibad police have nabbed two miscreants near Semri trisection and recovered three pistols from their possession on Monday.
Acting on a tip off, two miscreants were nabbed near Semri who were identified as Khanna Khan alias Adil Khan (24) of Raisen and Shubham Sarathe (19) of Udaipura. At the time of the incident police found that the two were roaming in the area to sell firearms.
Two country-made pistols and one revolver along with two live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
The nabbed accused confessed that deal in selling firearms and weapons illegally.
They used to sell firearms and weapons in different areas. The two used to come to the state capital from Raisen to sell firearms and weapons.
Police said that more crimes would be confessed by the accused in the further investigation and people who have bought firearms and weapons would also be investigated. Meanwhile, Govindpura police have nabbed a miscreant near Charwal square and recovered 300 bottles of country made liquor worth Rs 22000 on Monday. The accused identified as Vikram Khadka has been booked for different cases.
According to the police, acting of a tip a youth was detained near Charwaal square in the night and when searched, 300 bottles were recovered from his possession. A case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.
