A 22-year-old boy was stabbed to death by three brothers over a trivial issue in North Delhi’s Sarai Rohilla area. Police said that the incident occurred on Monday night and they have arrested two accused while the third accused is still at large.
The deceased has been identified as Firoz, a resident of Rakhi Market Zakhira while the accused have been identified as Asfaq, Mustaq and Mumtaz, also residents Rakhi Market Zakhira. Police said that manhunt has been initiated to nab Mumtaz.
According to Monika Bhardwaj, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North district, on Monday night at around 10:30 PM, Firoz brother Arman was inside a shop with this father when he heard a person shouting and crying.
“Arman along with his father came out of the shop and saw three persons were assaulting his brother Firoz. Arman told police that his brother tried to escape from the assault but the attacked Firoz with knife,” said the DCP.
“Arman took his brother to Hindu Rao hospital where Firoz was declared brought dead by the doctors. On the basis of statement given by deceased brother Arman, a case under section 302/34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Sarai Rohilla police station and two accused Ashfaq and Mustaq has been arrested while Mumtaz is absconding,” said the DCP adding that efforts are on to nab the remaining culprit.
