2 held for transporting illegally 500 bottles of country made liquor

Ratibad police has nabbed two miscreants from Sarwar village and recovered illegally transported 500 bottles of country made liquor worth Rs 30000 on Wednesday.

According to the police, acting of a tip off two men were detained from Sarwar village and when they were searched 500 bottles of country made liquor were recovered from their possession.

The two accused were identified as Anil Tyagi and Kamal Kumar. The two were carrying liquor and failed to produce license regarding the liquor and were nabbed. The source from which the two have obtained the liquor and where it was scheduled to be delivered would be investigated. A case under section 34 (2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.

Meanwhile, Shahjehanabad police have nabbed a miscreant from Regiment road and recovered illegally transported 370 bottles if country made liquor worth Rs 19000 on Wednesday. Police acted swiftly on a tip off and detained a man from Regiment road and when he were searched 370 bottles of country made liquor were recovered from his possession. Based on the information of illegal transport of liquor police started to search for the miscreants nabbed the accused who tried to escape the spot after the police personnel spotted him.

The accused was identified as Aman Sarkar who was carrying liquor without any license. After the preliminary investigation police have registered a case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.
