Call it honey trap or sexual exploitation, a woman in Etah has alleged that two sub-inspectors of the district raped her for the last six months after blackmailing her with threats to eliminate her husband in an encounter.
The woman reportedly provided some evidences to the senior officers after which both the sub-inspectors were placed under suspension and FIRs were registered against for gang-raping a woman for five months by threatening encounter of her husband.
A police investigation, ordered after the complaint of the victim, says that both the sub-inspectors went to the residence of the woman with an arrest warrant of her husband. Finding her alone in the house, both the sub-inspectors gang-raped the woman by threatening to kill her husband in some encounter.
However, the situation turned against the policemen when the woman got pregnant and she contacted senior officers of the district and claimed that the sub-inspectors were responsible for it.
In the investigation, the police had recovered some audio clips of the talks between the victim and the sub-inspectors and had also seized some video clips taken by the sub-inspectors to threaten the woman.
The two accused sub-inspectors, Yogesh Tiwari and Prem Kumar Gautam, were posted at the Awagarh police station in the district.
Meanwhile, in-charge Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar said on Friday that both the sub-inspectors had been placed under suspension and FIRs had been registered against them.
He said if the charged would be proved, both the sub-inspectors would be arrested and sent to jail.
