A 20-year-old youth was nabbed from Hoshangabad on Sunday for sexually assaulting his 16-year-old relative girl in Khajuri area. The accused had sexually assaulted the victim on March 7 at her house when she was alone.
Police said that the accused Satish Vishwakarma hails from Pipariya Hoshangabad and relative of victim girl.
On March 7, the accused Satish visited victim’s house for providing wedding card of marriage and finding the girl alone, he raped the victim and later offered her of marriage which the victim accepted and went to Pipariya Hoshangabad but later her brother brought her back to Bhopal and lodged a complaint against Satish. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case of sexual assault and section of POCSO were also imposed. The accused was nabbed from Pipariya Hoshangabad.
During the investigation it was found that few days before the incident family members of accused have proposed of marriage of accused with the victim but as victim was parents refused to the proposal.
The accused do not have any crime record and other details are been searched said police.
Meanwhile, Habibganj police have booked a city based youth for captivating and sexually assaulting a 22-year-old Indore based girl at Arera Colony on February 23.
