As per the Committee on Government assurances chaired by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jitender Singh Tomar, released in ongoing Monsoon Session, total numbers of 38 assurances were considered from February 2018 to July 2019.
Interestingly out of 38 assurances , 21 assurances pertaining to Public Works Department (PWD), Education and Women and child Development have been considered fulfilled while 16 have been kept pending. In pending assurance, health and urban development assurances are pending.
The committee has dropped one assurance pertaining to PWD regarding construction of underpass at ISBT Road, Shastri Park Intersection.
Notably, at times when ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and opposition Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) both are taking lead to regularize unauthorized colonies, the committee report marked pending subjects which are regarding the reluarisation of unauthorized colonies in Bawana Constituency and alternative place given to shopkeepers owners displaced during the construction of flyover in Palam - Dwarka flyover project.
In assurance number 22, which is also pending , Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Delhi assembly, Vijender Gupta asked the status of granting free hold rights of the plots to factory owners who had been allotted these plots under Re-location scheme.
The committee report also marked six pending projects under “Health” category in which various quarries about opening of Maohalla Clinic in a vacant building at Sarai Pipalthala, Ravi Das Marg near Azadpur Mandi , increasing bed capacity in the guru Govind singh Hospital, opening of a hospital in a building in Gautampuri , up- gradation of faculties given to patients at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital were raised.
In three PWD projects which again marked pending, and the committee was not satisfied with the reply of concern department are regarding dark spots dangerous for women safety , installation of street lights to ensure women safety , construction of flyover at Wazirabad Road, , Bhajanpura Red-light , payment by Government of outstanding electricity bills of retired government employees surrendering Government accommodation and recovery of that payment from such employees by government since 2005.
The assurance committee also marked fulfilled to 21 assurances on Education and Power related highlighting pass percentage in class 6th to 8th in the academic year 2014-15 in mid -term exam and starting vocational training course/subjects in the schools of Delhi government and opening of Skill Development Centers in all the districts of Delhi.
