22-yr-old Nepali man stabbed to death by compatriot over tiff

A 22-year-old Nepali citizen was allegedly stabbed to death by his compatriot after the scuffle broke out between the two over petty issue. The incident occurred in Central Delhi's Desh Bandhu Gupta (DBG) road on Monday night.

Police have arrested the accused Vishal while the deceased has been identified as Virendra. Vishal used to work in a hotel in city and Virendra used to work at a car washing station in the area. Police said that both are native of Nepal and used to live near DBG road area.

According to a senior police official, they received information regarding the incident around 4.30 pm on Monday following which a police team rushed to the spot.

"Virendra was taken to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Doctors said that he died due to excessive bleeding," said the senior police official.

"During initial investigation it was revealed that both Virendra and Vishal knew each other for a quite long time. On Monday evening, a scuffle broke out between Vishal and Virendra. The argument got so heated that Vishal took out a knife and stabbed Virendra on his neck," said the police official privy to investigation.

"A case under appropriate sections has been registered at DBG Police Station and weapon used in crime has been recovered from the possession of the accused," said the police official adding that further investigation is going on.

However, a neighbour of both accused and deceased said that Virendra was addicted to alcohol and when he used to drunk, he used to fight with Vishal. "Virendra used to bully Vishal," said a neighbour.
