Banshidhar Nagar police arrested 24 persons red-handed while they were gambling on Thursday. These people were caught at a filed located just 500 meter away from the police station. According to police station in-charge Pankaj Tiwari, police got a tip-off that a large number of people have been spotted at a dubath field.
“When the police team raided the place, they got hold of 24 persons who were gambling through playing cards. Out 24,12 gamblers belonging from Uttar Pradesh.
An amount of Rs 1,63,580 was recovered from the arrested persons,” said Tiwari. Those have arrested namely Gyanchand, Santosh Yadav, Pankaj Vibhuti, Suresh Mahato, Brijesh Kumar, Mukhtar Alam, Majmuddin Ansari, Kannauj Kumar, Sunny Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Anil Oraon, Ram Bajpai, Ramesh Kumar, Munnalal, Azim Khan Ashish Kumar, Moinul Khan, Arvind Kumar, Upendra Kumar Ram, Chandan Kumar, Ashfaq Ahmed and Anand Prasad.
