3 killed in separate accidents

Three persons, including a woman, were killed in separate accidents on the outskirts of Bokaro here on Sunday.

Two of the accidents took place near National Highway-23 near railway bridge while the third one took place at Chas. All two accidents were a result of over speeding and rash driving while one committed suicide, the police said.

In the first incident, Tuleshwar Chaudhary was killed when a speeding truck hit him under railway bridge under Balidih police station on the NH-23 in

Bokaro. Chaudhary was returning home at sector-VIII from railway station as he had gone to Bokaro railway station to see off his son.

In another incident, a 60-year-old man was killed when a rashly driven truck hit his bike near Dantu village under Peterwar police station.

The victim, Sarju Lal Manjhi, was on her way home with his daughter from Balidih to Gola when the incident happened around 08.40 pm on Saturday.

His daughter identified as Sankutala Kumari got injured in the incident.

In the third accident, a young woman, mother of a 4 year-old daughter, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a rented accommodation at Sarswati colony of Chas in Bokaro district on Sunday morning.

Rinki Devi was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Her body has been sent to Chas sadar hospital for postmortem.
