In yet another incident, reported from DND flyway, a 30-year-old man reportedly jumped to death into the Yamuna river. The incident was reported on Saturday. Delhi Police with the help of the divers of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) managed to fish out the body on Sunday.
The incident was reportedat around 11.30 p.m. on Saturday when the man, later identified as Virender, came to the DND flyway from Noida side on his bike. He stopped his bike and some passersby saw Virender jumping into the Yamuna river. One of them informed the Police Control Room (PCR).
Immediately police officers of South east district reached the spot and a search was launched to locate the man. “After a long search operation conducted by teams from the fire department, Delhi Boat Club and local police, the body was finally fished out at 2 p.m. on Sunday,” a senior police said.
Virender worked as a driver and stayed with his family in Radhe Shyam Park in east Delhi’s Krishna Nagar. During investigation, it was found that the deceased had gone to Noida to meet some friends.
