District police nabbed four dacoits and recovered two guns, two bikes, nine mobile phones and stolen gold ornaments from their possession on Wednesday.
Speaking to the mediapersons, Additional Superintendent of Police Biswanath Misra informed that during probe into a dacoity case in Korua village near Alipingala a week ago, police had launched a manhunt.
A police team lead by SDPO Prakash Chandra Pal raided several locations in Niali areas and finally picked up one Sudhir Mallick, a resident of Badaro village, who during interrogation disclosed a few dacoits' names involved in the Korua incident.
Later, the police arrested another three dacoits identified as Gyanaranjan Das, Deepak Bhoi and Abhisek Singh. They all hail from the Niali areas.
Moreover, the police record informed that these miscreants were involved in different theft cases in Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack districts.
